Sorry to just fling up press releases on here, but this one is terribly exciting ... Although, I don't know what that lowercase "i" is all about.

For one night only, ITV1 brings you TiSWAS REUNITED, a one-off special reuniting the stars of the iconic groundbreaking children’s show TiSWAS. With a wealth of clips and reminiscences from the many stars who appeared on the series, the team will recreate the chaos and mayhem of those heady days of the show that broke the mould. TiSWAS REUNITED is new and exclusive to ITV1, spring 2007.
TiSWAS REUNITED will be the biggest, noisiest, messiest most colourful show Saturday night television has seen for quite some time and the original team of regulars will all be there: Chris Tarrant, Sally James, Lenny Henry, Bob Carolgees, John Gorman, Sylvester McCoy and Frank Carson.
Additionally, there will be lots of other familiar TiSWAS faces in the audience. Many celebrities who took part in the show and were a part of the show’s success will be there with their personal memories of TiSWAS, and many more will be interviewed on location.
The list of guests who appeared on TiSWAS reads like a "Who’s Who" of showbusiness, as it was always considered to be the coolest series and the show to be seen on.
TiSWAS REUNITED is a celebration of the first, the most anarchic and the most groundbreaking Saturday morning kids’ series in British television history.

A certian joke from TV Burp the other week sprang to mind having read that.
Why does it have to be "Reunited" as well? I suppose they are being reunited, but it sounds a bit naff (like it's hanging on the coat tails of "Friends Reunited" which is owned by, oh yeah, ITV).
Never liked Tiswas when I was little anyway - custard pies in people's faces made me cry (mid you, I was only 3 or so).

Actually, to be fair, Peter Thomas - who runs www.tiswasonline.com and has contributed to the show - did mention somewhere that the idea for this programme pre-dated Noel's reunion at Christmas. It was just that Noelly was quicker off the mark ...
Thanks for the corrective. Perhaps my loyalty to Swap Shop from all those years ago surfaced again ... although this still sounds really fun ...
The logo for TiSWAS does have a tittle over the i, so I suppose they're right.
I guess it matches in with the "Today is Saturday, Watch And Smile" theory.

Golly. Cripes. Lumme. I have the horrible feeling this is going to be even worse than OTT, but I'll be watching.
When they say "original team of regulars", why do they refer to Lenny Henry. Bob Carolgees etc? Do you think I'm being a little too pedantic?
How likely is it that we'll get to see anything pre-1978 in this new show?

We got told to make a minisite for this. So we did - the Tiswas Reunited site is here. You can vote for what clips you'd like to see, and you can also apply to go into the Cage.
The DVD of Tiswas Reunited is out on 18 June so the transmission date should be before then. Yippee!!!
