"WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME?"
Those who are still freaked out whenever they see Alan Dale (Jim Robinson from Neighbours) appearing in the likes of 24, The OC and Ugly Betty won't love this survey from Rob Buckley of upcoming US genre series, since it includes preview clips from the remake of The Bionic Woman featuring Michelle Ryan (best known over 'ere as Zoe Slater in EastEnders) playing Jamie Sommers.
There's something distinctly unnerving about hearing her new American accent, but that's as nothing compared to seeing her in the same scene as Katie Sackoff (new Starbuck in new Battlestar Galactica).

Every time I see Jim from Neighbours on Ugly Betty I tell my wife it's Jim from Neighbours. She didn't know who Jim from Neighbours was for a long time (she's American, we live in the US) but after some incidents with the OC, 24 and me shouting 'it's Jim from Neihghbours!' she's slowly getting to know his face.
Ugly Betty just finished the current series here and it was, surprisingly for me, very good indeed.
I'm still living in denial that Zoe from Eastenders is the Bionic Woman.

I can't wait to see the new Bionic Woman. I've never cared for 70s sci-fi, but the fact that new Battlestar's David Eick is behind it is encouraging.
And Michelle Ryan - be still my beating heart. I so glad that the main player in the most unlikely EastEnders storyline ever (like the coupling of Jessie Wallace and Boon would have produced someone that beautiful) got out before she turned grey like the rest of the cast. Proof of mainstream life beyond Walford.
